EQUITY PARTNERSHIP LOAN OPPORTUNITIES

Our funding candidate works a regular day job. Three evenings a week he repairs engines in a local motorbike shop. On the weekends he services and maintains the used school bus he owns with his brother that they lease to local route drivers. With an Equity Partnership Loan our candidate can purchase a second school bus. Each leased school bus creates at least six full-time jobs.

Our funding candidate leases a taxi that he drives nearly 14 hours, 7 days a week. He pays for licenses, fuel, oil, maintenance and repairs. With a Equity Partnership Loan he can purchase his own vehicle and increase his net income by 30%. His enhanced income enables him to purchase a second vehicle to lease to another driver. As his profits grow, so does his family's quality of life.

Our funding candidate wishes to open a child care center. An Equity Partnership Grant makes it possible for her to rent a house to provide a neighborhood child care center and to serve as her family's home.  Typical revenue for child day care is $100 US per month. Just four monthly contracts pays for her rent and utilities. Up to 15 children lets her hire aides and a cook. Her profit also makes possible a second child day care center.

A US-based university seeks to preserve slave and free black records of the 16th-19th centuries and underwrites a more-than-decade-long effort to digitize secular records and church records such as black parish registers of baptisms, marriages, burials and brotherhoods in Latin America.  Among the indigenous Honduran population are Garifunas, descendants of Africans who escaped from slave ships that plied Honduran waters.

A San Pedro Sula couple seek funding to establish a resource service to scan and transmit relevant documents and transcribe / digitize Spanish-language records. Continuing University grant payments would make possible funds to create part-time jobs for part-time college students.  A university  graduate student or faculty member would provide training. The part-time workers would be paid by the number of images transcribed.

An Equity Partnership Loan will enable them to partner with the US university, purchase computers and scanning equipment, lease and build out secure work space, and hire at least 5 part-time workers.  Guaranteed continuing and expanded University grants ensure several years of work.
